Appling to CHWU
To join our university, you need to apply by filling the application form provided. The CHWU is an open university for everyone who seeks knowledge. According to our equal opportunity policy, applications of students or employees are put into consideration without any discrimination towards age, race, color, religion, sex, national or ethnic origin.
Admission Requirement
English is the language of instruction at CHWU. To meet the entrance requirements for university study, you must achieve a designated level of English language proficiency. Students meet the English language proficiency requirement in the following ways:
  • IELTS – 6.5
  • TOEFL (Paper-based test)
  • TOEFL (Computer-based test) – 213
Students are encouraged to submit their application at the earliest opportunity. All required documents and application forms MUST reach the head office of the CHWU for:
  • Winter admission by end of October
  • Summer admission by end of March
  • Fall admission by end of June
Late applications will be considered, provided there is space available. Students must ensure that any remaining documents required by the University are submitted to the Office of Admissions prior to registration.
Students may delay their entry onto the program after confirming their acceptance of the offer for a period of one year. After the expiry of this period, they will need to make a new application.
A completed application is reviewed by the Admissions Committee and usually processed within two weeks. The applicants will be notified of his or her status within three weeks.
Admission to CHWU’s undergraduate programs is based on a review of the following items:
  • Complete and singed Admission Application form
  • Transcript of secondary or post-secondary education.
  • One form of Identification
Readmission to the University
Students who wish to withdraw from a course or the university should notify the Office of Registration. The students are responsible for taking all steps necessary to withdraw from any of the courses.
Apart from the registration fee, which is not reimbursed to the students, all other fees and tuitions are returned in full if the student applies for withdrawal before the beginning of the semester. However, if the student applies for withdrawal during the first three weeks of the semester he/she will be reimbursed in half the tuitions.
